This year's Sporting Inequalities Prize was particularly difficult to judge so the decision was made to nominate Lisa Jenkel and Margaret Roberts as joint winners.

Lisa's conference presentation examined the interpretation of 'sportsmanship' expressed in the Jewish Chronicle and how this contrasted with the views of the British Union of Fascists on the concept. Margaret discussed the career of athlete Bertha Crowther who competed at the 1948 Olympics and became the first British women's pentathlon champion at the inaugural WAAA in 1949 following this success with a move into coaching.

Congratulations to Lisa Jenkel and Margaret Roberts.
