Sport in History

Sport in History is the official journal of the British Society of Sports History. Four times per year, it publishes original research on the history of sport, leisure and recreation and encourages using the study of sport to illuminate broader historical issues and debates.

COVID-19 Update: Journal printing resumes [6 May 2020]

Taylor & Francis informed us they would stop printing journals from 10 April until further notice. They have now advised that the print and distribution of our journals will be resumed from 11 May, with the first copies being dispatched by 18 May.

After the resumption of print services, members will receive print issues that are part of their subscription. We hope that BSSH members will therefore receive 40.2 (due to be published on May 25) on schedule, but have been advised that there may be a delay due to reduced or closed postal services, and issues with international freight and delivery. Please be patient!
