We welcomed Dr Claire Warden of Loughborough University to deliver the 2021 Sir Derek Birley Memorial Lecture. Dr Warden works on interdisciplinary modernism, performance practices, and physical cultures. In 2015 she published Modernist and Avant-Garde Performance, is the Performance and Professional Wrestling co-editor (2016) and co-founded Wrestling Resurgence in 2017.
