We warmly welcomed Ramachandra Guha to deliver this lecture at the 2022 Conference. Ramachandra is an academic and has lectured at Krea, Yale, and Stanford. He has held the Arne Naess Chair at the University of Oslo and was the Indo-American Community Chair at the University of California, Berkeley. He has also produced a series of histories including a series of biographies on Mahatma Gandhi and written on sports which included the cricket history, A Corner of a Foreign Field (2002).
Ramachandra's talk centred around his early experiences of following cricket drawing on a wide range of memories and anecdotes and touching on provincial icons and international stars from his 50 years of involvement with the game.
